PURPOSE:To obtain the electronic watch to which the data for the musical composition to be played can be freely inputted, by controlling a music generating circuit by rewriting a music deta RAM by external manipulation. CONSTITUTION:When switches 10 for modes of an external manipulating member, a pitch of sound, a length of sound, and notes are manipulated, a mode ROM15 is accessed in response to the state of manipulation, and the music data to be composed is written in a music data RAM19 through a decoder circuit 18 of a composing circuit 17. In this case, the notes are displayed by staff notation corresponding to the composition on a display 21 wherein a note decoder 22, a note driver 23, a note display 24, and the like are provided. The music sound is generated by the music generating circuit 20 and a speaker 25. Thus free input of the music composition data for generating the desired music to be played can be readily and positively performed. |
