PURPOSE:To shrink a tube simply and quickly and to put the surface of the tube in a uniform and good state by covering a thermally shrinkable tube fitted on a body to be covered and blasting hot air in this heat-resisting sheet. CONSTITUTION:First, a thermally shrinkable tube 2 is fitted on the connecting part 1 of a cable. Then, this thermally shrinkable tube 2 is covered with a heat- resisting sheet 3 and several of the seams are clipped 4 and sealed. Both ends of the heat-resisting sheet 3 are clamped with hose bands 6 on the periphery of the cable 5 and closed. Next, an air driver 8 is mounted on the external surface of the sealed heat-resisting sheet 3 through a cylindrical drier guide 7 and a thermometer 9 is inserted at a suitable distance from the air drier 8. Hot air is blown into the heat-resisting sheet 3 from the air drier 8, the thermally shrinkable tube 2 is heated at 100 deg.C for about 30min., shrunk and attached closely on to the periphery of the connecting part 1 to the cable. |
