PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to provide a space for the maintenance of electrical parts and the like at the side surfaces of a main body by a structure wherein the electrical parts are housed within the main body and a suction grill and blowoff grills are provided at the lower surface and the front surface of the main body respectively in the air conditioner used by hanging from the ceiling. CONSTITUTION:The side surface side outer wall is fixed to a L-shape outer wall 1 consisting of a ceiling side outer wall 1' and a back side outer wall 1'' and a partition plate 3 is fixed to the ceiling side outer wall and the side surface side outer wall so as to form a suction chamber 4 and a blowoff chamber 5 by partitioning therewith. The suction chamber 4 contains an electrical parts box 9 and the like and is installed by the suction grill 6 equipped with an air filter 7 and as well as the blowoff chamber 5 incorporates an heat exchanger 10 and the like and is fixed by an lower panel 14 with blowoff holes 16, to which, in addition, the blowoff grill 17 equipped with a wind direction changing vane 18, which acts in conjuction with a wind direction changing louver 13, is fixed.
