PURPOSE:To provide a transmission belt which is smoothly circularly deformable, by a method wherein a 2-split structured V-block is engaged with lock projections, formed at equal intervals on the upper and the lower surface of an endless belt, through the medium of a reinforcing member having a lock step formed on the surface. CONSTITUTION:Lock projections 22 about in semicircle in cross section are formed continuously in the direction of width on an endless belt 21 made of rubber, in which a tensile core 20 is buried, in a position allowing the projections to be positioned facing each other on the upper and the lower surface of the belt 21. An inner collar 23, formed in a circle in cross section and having a lock step part 23c formed in the central part of an circular sliding surface 23b on the outer surface, is attached to each lock projection 22. A V-blocks 24 has a 2-split structure so that they can be inserted from both sides of the belt 21, and each block 24 is formed such that arm parts 24b and 24c are extended at upper and the lower part from one side 24a brought into frictional engagement with a V-groove in a V-pulley. Lock step 24e, formed the forward end of each of the arms 24b and 24c is locked to a lock step 23c of the inner collar 23 to mount the V-block 24 to complete a transmission V-belt 25. |
