摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate the uneven shades of color on the panel discharge surface readily, by forming only the gap layers with a transparent insulating material, in the spacer composition combining meshform cell layers and stripe-form gap layers superposed thereon at a specific interval. CONSTITUTION:Mesh-form cell layers 18 consisting of an insulating material such as a low melting point glass are furnished, and moreover, on the cell layer patterns either lateral or longitudinal on the cell layers 18, stripe-form gap layers 19 consisting of an insulating material such as a transparent low melting point glass are furnished superposing at a specific interval respectively to regulate the intervals to a side glass plate 11 to compose the electrode. A phosphor membrane 20 is applied, a glass plate 17 for the display side coverage is arranged to contact the top surface of the gap layers 19 to the plate 17, and the periphery is sealed up airtight to make a glass discharge space 16, where a specific discharge gas is sealed. Therefore, the uneven shades of color at the display surface of the plate 17 for display side coverage resulting from the spacer construction can be eliminated.
