<p>A liquid mulch for providing a protective crust comprises an aqueous composition comprising; a polymeric binder; and per 100 parts by weight of said binder, about 100 to about 1600 parts by weight of suitable particulate filler; said aqueous composition having a solids level of not less than about 30 (optionally about 30 to about 85) per cent by weight. The liquid mulch can be applied to a domain (e.g. an agricultural domain) so as to provide a dry coat weight of about 33.5 to 1674 g/m<2>. Crop production can be enhanced by said application.</p> |
