<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a fuel cell capable of preventing unit cells adjacent to each other from positional deviation in cell in-plane direction. <P>SOLUTION: (1) The separator for the fuel cell 72 has a means (zigzag-shaped part for restraining deviation) 18 restraining the deviation between contact conducting parts of the separator arranged between adjacent unit cells in cell in-plane direction, formed on a side of a surface of a separator 2 itself on which, a cooling water flow passage is arranged. (2) The deviation restraining means (zigzag-shaped part for restraining deviation) 18 has a convex part 18a, and a concave part 18b receiving the adjacent convex part of the unit cell deviation preventing zigzag-shaped part, and the convex part 18a of one unit cell deviation preventing zigzag-shaped part contacts the convex part 18a of adjacent unit cell deviation preventing zigzag-shaped part or a side face of the concave part 18b in cell in-plane direction.
