Improvement of our living conditions by letting those areas of the countryside which have been paved for traffic grow again

Our nature has been robbed, particularly in built-up areas, of cultivatable countryside for huge car parks for supermarkets; these areas are cultivated again by the flat roof which is covered with soil and rests on supports. The flat roof comprises relatively small individual surface areas which fit together closely, excess rainwater is directly channelled away in each case, and ventilation windows are formed by individual grilled surface areas. The cultivation is laid out in the manner of a park and comprises everything from mosses to pines which are as high as a man; a virtually maintenance-free flora which flourishes naturally and withstands the harshest of winters and weeks without rain. Entering by way of steps, visitors come up to see the area and to sit around it. Nothing is being sold here, there is only parkland. All parts are prefabricated in steelworks and can be rapidly erected by the prefabricated-home construction method. Everyone is happy about this innovation and for the steelworker who is kept busy as a result and, above all, that this puts an end to the concrete jungle.
