PURPOSE:To shorten a job switching time and to simplify control by realizing the residence of a program to be used on a memory, and switching the execution of the program corresponding to a job switching instruction. CONSTITUTION:The residence of the programs (1-3) to execute jobs (1-3) are realized on a main memory device 1, and in a state where a certain job is executed by the program 1, resources such as a display 2, a keyboard 3, and a printer 4, etc., are released corresponding to the depression of a job switching key 3-1, and after that, an execution right is delivered to the program by message communication between the programs, and also, the state is interrupted. The program to which the execution right is delivered performs the job by acquiring the display 2, the keyboard 3, and the printer 4 that are the resources. Thereby, it is possible to witch the job rapidly, and also, to make the execution of the sharing/exclusive control of the resources unnecessary, and to perform the switching of the job with simple control.
