Slide-valve device for the variable throttling of the discharge of sewage from sewage-storage means or sewage ducts. It exhibits an actuator drive, which can be connected to an electric mains and is intended for adjusting the slide valve, and an emergency-actuation device which exhibits an emergency-drive device. The invention provides controlling and/or switching means which respond to the failure of the mains voltage and, as a result of the mains voltage failing, activate the emergency-drive device which serves to transfer the slide valve into a predetermined safety position and can be operated by means of energy coming from at least one energy store.
