PURPOSE:To bond two pieces of plastic members without using any bonding agent or the like by a method wherein the plastic members are softened locally by heat by the vibration of a rod-type tool, thereafter, plastic is made to flow to the direction of a recessed groove and cured. CONSTITUTION:Plastic members 1, 2 are pinched by dices 3, 4 and punches 5, 6 are inserted. The punches 5, 6 are vibrated so as to be reciprocated into the axial directions thereof. Subsequent to the vibration, the upper punch 5 only is moved downward by a length in the degree of the thickness of one plastic member 1, then, a part of the plastic member 1, which is softened by heat, enters into a recessed groove 3b provided on the opening end of the dice 3 and cured while the other part of the plastic is cured on the periphery of the tip end of the punch 5 in a double cylindrical shape. A double cylindrical hole with a bottom remains after the punch 5 is pulled out and the upper and lower plastics 1, 2 may be bonded rigidly. |
