PURPOSE:To provide an image display device capable of overlapping windows of static images on the windows of animation images by a method wherein the image display device is comprised of means for generating animation allowable signal for generating animation allowable signal and means for combining images for generating the combined screen signals by changing-over the static image and the animation image by an animation allowable signal. CONSTITUTION:An image signal 101 and an image signal 102 are set with a logical sum with an animation allowable signal generating means 50 and then an image signal 103 of an animation allowable signal is generated. At the static image generating means, the image signal 104 acting as the static image is generated. The image signal 104 and the image signal 105 of the animation image are transferred to the image combining means 20 with an instruction from CPU. The image signal 103 is given to the image combining means 20 and an instruction whether the image signal 105 acting as the animation image is displayed at what position and in what shape is given. Then, the image signal 104 and the image signal 105 are combined by the image combining means 20 so as to output an image signal 106 acting as the combined signal. With such an arrangement, it is possible to overlap at the static image on the animation image and to display it. |
