<p>PURPOSE:To displace the sweet spot of a club head toward the toe thereof, and enable the trajectory of a golf ball to be effectively corrected by dividing a head body into a soft head section at the toe and a heavy head section at other areas, and forming the breadth of the head body to be relatively large over a range from a toe section to a heel section. CONSTITUTION:A golf club head is divided into a head body H for a wood club, a soft head section LH at a toe, and a heavy head section HH at other areas. In addition, a different type of material with different specific gravity is, for example, used for each section to obtain approximately the same weight as a conventional club head. According to this construction, the width l of the head over a range from a toe section to a heel section can be made larger than the width l' of a conventional club head, thereby enabling a player to feel as if a sweet spot I.P is shifted toward the toe. Also, the trajectory of a golf ball stroked with the cub head can easily corrected toward a straight flight line via the gear effect of the head.</p> |
