<p>PURPOSE:To provide a control device for a mechanical type supercharger containing an engine which reduces the generation of a torque shock owing to the increase of an engine output through operation of a supercharger when linkage between an engine output shaft and a mechanical supercharger is rendered effective. CONSTITUTION:A supercharger is linked to an engine through an endless belt run around a pulley mounted on the input shaft of a supercharger. A clutch for connecting and disconnecting a route is located between an input shaft and a pulley, and through ON and OFF of the clutch, linkage between the supercharger and the engine is rendered effective and ineffective. In an idle region V and a middle rotation middle load region VI, the clutch is disengaged and the supercharger is brought into a free state. In a high rotation high load region VII, the clutch is engaged and the supercharger is brought into a working state. Meanwhile, the valve timing of an air intake valve is varied, and the closing timing of the air intake valve in the region VII (a supercharge region) is more delayed in closing than the closing timing of the air intake valve in the region VI (the supercharger is in a free state), and filling efficiency is reduced.</p> |
