The key and rotary cylinder for a security lock has the key shank contg. a control member (19) working with an additional tumbler (10) in the cylinder. The control member slides in the radial direction against a resetting force greater than that of the tumbler. In the stator (2) is a stop (6) clear of the tumbler, extending beyond the joint line (14) between the stator and rotor (3). When the latter is turned into a partic. position, the stop deflects the control member, together with the tumbler core pin (13), in the radial direction in opposition to the resetting force.
