The invention relates to a seal for closing, in a medium- tight manner, an opening between elements which move with respect to one another and form part of a device for processing, inter alia, aggressive substances, comprising an expandable pressure-exerting member, a flexible sealing profile which is connected to the pressure- exerting member, means for exerting a force on the sealing profile via the pressure-exerting member, and attachment means for attaching the pressure-exerting member and the sealing profile to one of the elements, the sealing profile being made from a flexible material which is able to withstand aggressive substances.
