PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device which can easily execute a recording action on the various size of papers without enlarging the scale of the device, which is profitable and whose installing space is small as for the image forming device and its control method. CONSTITUTION: The image forming device is constituted so as to be provided with an image data supply means supplying image data according to an instruction, an image recording means 11 carrying plural images formed by the plural times of recording processes as for the supplied image data and transferring the carried images on the paper, a paper carrying means 12 and a divisional recording instruction means 15 successively supplying the image data until the area of the image corresponding to the instructed paper size is obtained every area of the image having the size corresponding to the respective paper size obtained by dividing the instructed paper size into two or more and being enough to be processed by the supply means 10 and the recording means 11 and instructing the stop of the carrying action of the paper until the image except the image transferred last is started to be transferred by synchronizing with the finish of the transfer action with respect to the carrying means 12. |
