Direction-finder for locating one specific geographical point from any other geographical point. Specially designed to be used by Moslems, in order that they may locate the direction of Mecca from any country in the world where they are, with a view to making their daily prayers, consisting of a circular base 1, bearing a World Map 2, or a more restricted map, according to the specific use planned for the apparatus, Mecca being situated at the centre 3 of the circle with the map spreading out radially from this central point, the circular base 1 incorporating a compass 4 suitably fixed to it, with which the map 2 can be set up so that its north N coincides with actual north, a condition in which a pointer 7 radially aligned towards Mecca 3, automatically indicates the direction in which this city is located, as soon as it is set on the city or geographical point at which the user of the apparatus is located, for which purpose the pointer 7 is fixed to a ring 6 mounted revolving around the periphery of the disc- shaped base 1. <IMAGE>
