<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrestor equipped with functions as a voltage transformer. SOLUTION: A layered product, made up by laminating a plurality of nonlinear resistance elements 31 containing zinc oxide as main constituent housed in a container 32, one end side of the layered product serves as a line end and the other end side of the layered product serves as a grounding end. The layered product comprises a plurality of thick nonlinear resistance elements 31a and one thin nonlinear resistance element 31b, and the nonlinear resistance elements 31b is sandwiched between a pair of electrode plates 37, 38 and disposed on the grounding end side. A voltage induced in the nonlinear resistance elements 31b is drawn out to the exterior of the container 32 via the electrode plates 37, 38 as well as lead wires 48, 49, and functions as a voltage transformer. Further, if an overvoltage is produced on the line end, a current flows sharply due to a resistance component of the nonlinear resistance elements 31 and discharged via the grounding end, and functions as an arrestor.</p> |
