<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyboard which can transfer the absolute coordinates received from a touch pad to a personal computer main body. SOLUTION: A touch pad 4 selects and outputs the relative or absolute coordinate data based on the command given from a personal computer main body 6 via a keyboard controller 2. When the relative coordinate data are inputted from the pad 4, the controller 2 calculates a basic cycle from the moved variable shown by the relative coordinate data and the prescribed resolution and outputs the bus interface data every time the value that is periodically counted in each basic cycle reaches a prescribed level. Then the controller 2 transfers the absolute coordinate data inputted from the pad 4 by means of an interface which outputs the data obtained by scanning a key matrix 3.</p> |
