摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability and miniaturize a thermal decomposition reactor and a high temperature air heater by a method wherein a distillation gas and combustible components are burned by a combustion melting furnace and the combustion ash generated is converted to a melted slag while the steam generated in the combustion melting furnace is supplied to a drying device as heating medium. SOLUTION: Waste (a) is heated and dried by a drying device 1 and crushed by a crusher 2 to be thermally decomposed by a thermal decomposition reactor 3. A distillation gas G1 generated and combustion components d' separated and crushed from a thermal decomposition residue (c) undergo a combustion treatment with a combustion melting furnace 4 and a combustion gas G2 is treated and changed to a clean exhaust gas by a gas cooling furnace 15, a dust collecting device 16 and a gas washer 17 to be released from a stack 18. The drying device 1 herein used is of an indirectly heating type to reduce the amount of an exhaust gas and supplies steam s1 obtained from a combustion melting furnace 4 of a water-cooled structure to a drum body as heating medium. This can prevents the corrosion of the drying device 1 to improve durability and also miniaturize the thermal decomposition reactor 3 and a high temperature air heater 4.</p>
