PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator for a motor capable of improving the motor characteristics by reducing the eddy-current loss caused by the fluctuation of magnetic flux in the circumferential direction at the tip of the magnetic pole of the stator. SOLUTION: A yoke 11 of a stator 1 for a motor is formed by pressing, stacking and caulking silicon steel plates. The magnetic pole parts 3 of the stator is formed by pressing hard magnetically soft steel powder metal to be molded into the shape of the magnetic poles as shown in a figure. The fitting parts 4 of these magnetic pole parts 3 are press fitted into the yoke 11 to structure a stator core. The magnetic flux which passes through from the magnetic pole 31 of the stator to the tooth parts 22 of a rotor is attracted from the parts corresponding to openings toward the tooth parts 22 because of the presence of the openings between the tooth parts 22. This stator reduces eddy- current loss arising from the eddy-current caused by the fluctuation of magnetic flux.
