Process for organising wavelet coefficients used in an image compression process

The image compression process uses a wavelet transformation process (100) to filter and sample the image data to produce coefficients with multiple frequency bands.The data is received by a coefficient organising process (200) that selects coefficients in the bands. A coding process (300) is then performed which arranges coefficients in a tree structure.
