<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To practice in use a printing with no margin with a high quality to a relatively thick medium to be recorded, to realize speedup of printing processing speed, and to add a new additional function to the medium to be recorded. <P>SOLUTION: The medium P to be recorded of the present invention is relatively thick, and has a main body 35 with a regular size being a substantial recording area, and is used in a case where a recording is continued even after the back end of the main body 35 passes through carrying rollers 25 positioned at an upstream side of a recording head 5. In this medium P to be recorded, an extended flap 37 which is only used before and during recording and is separated from the main body 35 after recording, is provided, and the length of the extended flap 37 is set in such a way that it is pinched by the carrying rollers 25 until a recording on the main body 35 is finished. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
