PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material testing device and an external output method for a measured load therein, capable of generating a sufficient processing time in a servo loop as far as possible, and of outputting a detected signal proportional to the load as far as possible. SOLUTION: In this material testing device for adding a load L to a material test piece 9 by means of an actuator 8, detecting the load L of the material test piece 9 by means of a sensor 11, and using a detected signal F of the sensor 11 as a feedback signal, a difference signal Er between the detected signal F from the sensor 11 and a control target input signal Ei is input into the actuator 8, while the detected signal F from the sensor 11 is corrected in such a way as to be proportional to the load L by a correction portion 14 provided outside a servo loop, and thereafter is externally output.
