PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rattrap improved in probability of catching a rat and easy to wash. SOLUTION: This rattrap is characterized by supporting the intermediate part of a cylindrical case 2 having a bottom so as to be swingable at the upper side of a base 1, holding an inclined state in which an entrance 3 side which is an opened end thereof is lower to the supported position and the bottom 9 side is higher thereto by weight balance of the case 2 before catching the rat, holding the oppositely inclined state in which the entrance 3 side is higher to the supported position and the bottom 9 side is lower thereto by the weight balance after the rat is captured by entering to the bottom 9 side of the case 2, installing a locking means 4 for maintaining the oppositely inclined state over the base 1 and the case 2 and having a lid 5 for shutting the entrance 3 in the oppositely inclined state at the upper side of the base 1.
