摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode auxiliary active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, a positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery each having an excellent battery characteristic even in a relatively severe use environment. <P>SOLUTION: This positive electrode auxiliary active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery has at least a lithium transition metal composite oxide having a spinel structure. The lithium transition metal composite oxide is present in a form of particles comprising at least either or both of first particles and secondary particles of an aggregate thereof. When it is assumed that particle diameters where volume cumulative frequencies reach 10%, 50% and 90% are D10, D50 and D90, respectively, the particle size distribution of the particles satisfies all of 0<(D10/D50)<1, 1<(D90/D50)&le;5 and 5 &mu;m&le;D50&le;40 &mu;m.
