PURPOSE: An air valve is provided to swiftly check up whether the valve is opened or closed. CONSTITUTION: An opening and closing indicating device is installed on an actuator(30) to show whether a passage(12) is opened or closed to outside. The opening and closing indicating device comprises a penetrating hole(100); and an indicating bar(101). The penetrating hole is formed on an upper side of a cylinder(31). The indicating bar is installed on a driving shaft(33) and comes out to and goes in from an outside of the cylinder through the penetrating hole. When compressed air flows into the cylinder of the actuator, a diaphragm(32) rises to raise the driving shaft to push up the indicating bar.
