The invention relates to a method for producing closing caps (1) for containers (10), particularly made of plastic, according to which a plastic material is introduced into a mold, for example, extruded or injected, is shaped as desired, and the closing cap (1) is removed from the mold after the plastic material has hardened. Afterwards, the closing cap (1) is provided, at least in the area of its sealing face(s) (4) and/or at least in the area of its sliding face(s) (5), with a plastic-free coating (8) that modifies the surface properties of the closing cap.
