PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone terminal that a user can simply and remotely operate without the aid of other people and to provide its operating method by which no special device for the operation is required and a reply with respect to an instruction can visually be confirmed. SOLUTION: In the case of operating the telephone terminal at a remote place via a telephone line network, after a 1st telephone terminal enters an instruction as voice information to a 2nd telephone terminal via the telephone line network, the 2nd telephone terminal converts the instruction into character information and the 2nd telephone terminal executes the instruction converted into the character information. Furthermore, the 2nd telephone terminal informs a prescribed mobile communication terminal about the response with respect to the instruction as character information if necessary.
