PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inclination switch free from malfunction caused by static electricity and noise, and having the superior stability. SOLUTION: A switch body is provided with a guide 5 having an approximately conical upper face, a base 11 having a light receiving and emitting element 14 on a lower face of a center of the guide 5, and leading out a terminal 13 to a lower face of the guide 5, and a cover 1 fitted to the base 11. The inclination is detected by a spherical body 4 of which an approximately conical upper face is rotatable in the switch body, and by a signal for opening and closing the light receiving and emitting element 14 by the movement of the spherical body 4. A rising part is mounted on the upper face of the guide 5 along an inner face of the cover 1 to form an outer wall 7, and the guide 5 is made of an elastic conductive member. Further a projecting part 2 is formed on an approximately central part of the upper face inside of the cover 1 to allow the spherical body 4 to abut on an inner face of the outer wall 7 of the guide 5 when the switch body is turned upside down.
