PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical secondary battery having excellent characteristic by reducing generation of a crevice between an active material and a lattice in a winding central part, and omission of the active material. SOLUTION: The cylindrical secondary battery is provided with a spiral shape electrode board group which is wound with a positive electrode which made a positive-electrode active material hold in a positive-electrode lattice, and a negative electrode which made a negative-electrode active material hold in a negative-electrode lattice through separator, wherein at least one of the two of the above lattice has two or more kind of grid widths W, and the grid width W1 by a side of a winding start end is made smaller than the greatest grid width W2, or at lest one of the two of the lattice pillar has two or more kind of the lattice pillar width Y, and the lattice pillar width Y1 by the side of the winding start end is made smaller than the greatest lattice pillar width YM, or the lattice is made to have both of those.
