PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a childcare apparatus which can remove heat or moisture residing in a space between the back of a child and the backrest section when required without increasing the number of parts. SOLUTION: A through hole 4 for guiding a belt and an opening 5 for ventilation are provided on the backrest section 3. To the back surface of the backrest section 3, a cover member 10 for covering and concealing the through hole for guiding the belt is turnably attached. The cover member 10 has a through hole 11 for ventilation. When the cover member 10 is located at a first position, the opening 5 for ventilation on the backrest section 3 and the through hole 11 for ventilation on the cover member 10 are aligned. When the cover member 10 is located at a second position, the opening 5 for ventilation on the backrest section 3 and the through hole 11 for ventilation on the cover member 10 are placed under a non-aligned state, and a ventilation path is shut off.
