PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for a polymer dispersion-type liquid crystal display device and a polymer dispersion-type liquid crystal display device which exhibit excellent low-driving voltage characteristics, have a high voltage retention and can be driven by an active element within a low temperature range without using a highly volatile compound. SOLUTION: The composition for the polymer dispersion-type liquid crystal display device comprises a specific liquid crystal composition, a specific radically polymerizable compound and a polymerization initiator. The polymer dispersion-type liquid crystal display device is obtained using the composition. The liquid crystal display device has a wide operational temperature range, exhibits excellent scattering characteristics which hardly undergo changes with the lapse of time, is excellent in heat resistance and light resistance, and is therefore very practically useful for displays utilizing light scattering.
