<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state oxide fuel cell capable of being preheated in a short time while preventing damage of generating cells. <P>SOLUTION: In the solid state oxide fuel cell constituting a fuel cell stack 3 by alternately laminating generating cells and separators equipped with channels for reaction gas inside, and making it perform a generating reaction by supplying fuel gas and oxidant gas inside the fuel cell stack 3 through the reaction gas channels at operation, fuel oxidation catalyst is arranged at an oxidant gas channel of the separators. In preheating at the start of operation, the generating cells 7 are heated from outside by the heating means 20, mixture gas of the oxidant gas and the fuel gas below a lower limit of explosion is supplied to the oxidant gas channel to put the mixture gas under catalytic combustion with the fuel oxidation catalyst, and the generating cells 7 are heated from inside with the radiated heat. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
