An input device of an automatic temperature controller for a vehicle is provided to miniaturize structure of the input device by including a pattern capable of pulse output inside a variable resistor, and to reduce manufacturing costs by using the existing variable resistor. An input device of an automatic temperature controller for a vehicle having a dial portion mounting a variable resistor(10) for controlling set temperature, a wind direction and wind amount, etc. inside the vehicle comprises a pattern(11). The predetermined pattern is formed inside the variable resistor of the dial portion. The pattern includes a central portion pattern(13) formed in an internal center side of the variable resistor so as to output a resistance value, and an outside portion pattern(15) having one side receiving voltage and the other side connected to ground.
