A yoke type magnetic particle tester for inspecting defects of industrial equipment is provided to easily inspect surface defects and to improve inspection quality by enabling free rotation. A yoke type magnetic particle tester for inspecting defects of industrial equipment comprises a tester main body(1), a yoke electrode(3) and a mounting unit. The tester main body includes a coil, an iron core(5) coupled to a power supply, and outer insulating material(7). The yoke electrode is contacted with inspected equipment, and formed in at least two step links so that the body thereof is diffracted by 90 degrees. The yoke electrode is able to be separated regarding the tester main body and coupled to the mounting unit.
