<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of sufficiently obtaining air cooling effect while restraining ring mark failure by designing so that even a small axial fan with low power consumption can draws in outside air of sufficient flow rate from which conductive particles are sufficiently removed. <P>SOLUTION: A suction fan 37 is disposed in the right side face of the image forming apparatus accommodating photoreceptor drums 10 and developing sleeves 3, and outside air is drawn into the structure of a housing. In the suction fan 37, a coil is disposed on the entrance side of the axial fan that has a 300-μm mesh filter disposed on its exit side. In addition, an AC voltage is supplied to the coil and thereby an AC magnetic field is caused to act on gas flowing into the axial fan. Since conductive particles are caused to deviate outside from the main stream of the outside air by the mutual action with the AC magnetic field, the conductive particles are prevented from entering the structure of the housing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
