<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for service of a duplicating machine or rendering machine and a method for creating and printing a customized maintenance manual by utilizing current machine status. <P>SOLUTION: The methods and a system are disclosed to provide the customized maintenance manual. Generally, a machine, for example, the rendering machine, is automatically analyzed to identify one or more particular activities necessary for servicing the machine. Thereafter, a customized maintenance manual is generated in response to a particular user input, wherein the customized maintenance manual includes only the identified particular activities necessary for servicing the machine, thereby resulting in a reduction of non-productive user time spent on maintenance activities associated with the machine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
