摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer which can make ink droplets hit target positions even when the roller rotary shaft of a carrying belt is eccentric. SOLUTION: In this inkjet printer, a rotary encoder disk 30 and a rotary encoder sensor 31 are attached to the following roller 24 of the carrying belt 22. A ratio between an actual rotation angleθof the following roller 24 when the carrying belt 22 moves by a specified moving amount L, and a detected rotation angleϕof the following roller 24 being obtained by the rotary encoder sensor 31 during that period is stored in advance as an angle ratio D. Then, an ink droplet discharging timing T is calculated (S3) from a detected signal interval t of the rotary encoder sensor 31, and the angle ratio D in response to the rotation angle of the following roller 24 (S1 and S2). By discharging ink droplets by the timing, the ink droplets can be made to hit target positions on a printing medium 1 by compensating an angular speed variation accompanying the eccentricity of the rotating shaft of the following roller 24, i.e., the carrying speed variation of the printing medium 1.
