The seal (4), especially for a vehicle door against a fixed bodywork structure, is a long hollow profile of an elastic material which can be distorted. Sections (A,A1) of the seal can be inflated while the vehicle is moving, with inserts (15) which distort the seal on a pneumatic or hydraulic action.
