<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generation system, program, and information storage medium capable of executing real light source processing with a light processing load. <P>SOLUTION: Illuminating direction vectors V1 to V3 and colors C1 to C3 of a plurality of light sources LS1 to LS3 for illuminating an object OB are composed to obtain an illuminating direction vector VS and color CS of a composed light source LSS and shading of the object OB is performed on the basis of the obtained composed light source LSS. A rate of composition of the light sources is obtained on the basis of an inner product or rate of brightness of the illuminating direction vector. Other light sources are composed to a base light source selected on the basis of the brightness of the light source. When the base light source is switched, the light sources are composed so that the degree of influence of the base light source of the previous frame decreases. A color of the light source which is not an object of composing processing is added to the color of ambient light.
