PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope where the brightness of an observed image can be adjusted easily. SOLUTION: A luminance profile 32a and a reference line 32b are displayed on the luminance profile window 32 of a display section 300 and the reference line 32b is displayed at a position of the maximum value of the luminance profile 32a. When a cursor 32c is made to coincide with the position of the reference line 32b and is moved upward, a reference line 32b is moved upward, and the maximum value of the luminance profile 32a is moved upward, accompanying the fact that the reference line 32b is moved upward. Thus, the brightness of the observed image 31 can be adjusted, in a direction where the observed image 31 becomes bright. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
