The device has elastic maintaining units maintaining a flat base plate (11) of a displaceable closing element i.e. strike plate (10), on a support i.e. body element, after displacement of centering pins (20) in respective openings along a direction during closing of a support e.g. opening frame such as tailgate, of a motor vehicle. The maintaining units are formed of rectangular sections i.e. attachments, and a compression spring (26) that is supported on a surface (11a) of the plate (11) and on a stop (23). Each opening is formed by a circular orifice extended in the direction by a keyhole.
