PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of resin particles having a uniform particle diameter excellent in charging characteristics, heat resistance storage stability and thermal property. SOLUTION: This production method of resin particles (D) comprises: mixing an aqueous dispersion (W) containing resin particles (A) of a first resin (a) and a coagulant (E) with a second resin (b) or an organic solvent solution thereof or with a precursor (b0) of (b) or an organic solvent solution (O) thereof to disperse (O) in (W); optionally, reacting (b0), to form resin particles (B) of (b) in (W) and to form an aqueous dispersion (X1) of resin particles (C), in which a coating film (P) containing (A) or (a) is attached to the surface of (B); separating-removing and/or dissolving-removing at least a part of (A) or (P) on the surface of (C) to obtain an aqueous dispersion (X2) of resin particles (D) in which (B) is contained or a part of the surface of (B) is coated with (A) or (P); and further, removing the aqueous medium.
