PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an appropriate clustering result having robustness against measurement errors.

SOLUTION: A shift amount calculation part 110 calculates shift amountsαby which profiles are shifted in directions of increasing/decreasing expression levels to approximate profiles between genes, per combination of genes on the basis of respective profiles stored in a profile storage part 191. A distance calculation part 120 shifts the profiles by shift amountsαand calculates inter-gene distances dαper combination of genes on the basis of shifted profiles. A clustering part 130 performs arbitrary clustering processing (for example, UPGMA "Unweighted Pair Group Method with Arithmetic mean") on respective genes on the basis of respective inter-gene distances dαand outputs cluster information of respective genes. The cluster information of respective genes generated by the clustering part 130 can be used for various gene analysis such as specifying a plurality of genes having similar characteristics.
