An extension apparatus for measurement range of an ultrasonic thickness gauge is provided to implement thickness measuring of a thin specimen by correcting thickness value calculated by the time value showing the thickness information of the specimen. An extension apparatus for measurement range of an ultrasonic thickness gauge comprises: a thickness output unit(250) calculating thickness based on the level of an echo signal inputted with a probe by being reflected in a specimen; a correction mode switch unit(280) which changes the necessary correction algorithm to correct the value calculated in the thickness output unit; and a thickness correction unit(260) correcting the calculated value calculated in the thickness output unit by selecting one among two or more correction algorithms based on the signal inputted to the correction mode switch unit.
