PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicator capable of surely preventing a slit-like opening of a flexible application body from closing and also capable of easily opening the opening when being used. SOLUTION: In the applicator for supplying application liquid 18 housed inside a main body 10 to the application body 14 formed of an elastic material at the end of the main body 10 by a liquid pressurizing mechanism 12 attached to the main body 10, allowing the application body 14 to abut on an object and applying the application liquid 18, a communication path 36 communicating with the outside through the inside of the main body 10 and a pipe body 34 is formed in a slit shape on the application body 14, it is opened to the outside by the opening 36a, and a planar plug body 38 is detachably inserted to the opening 36a to close it.
