PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platform which supports a metallic test access in a switching device or multiple device, such as a digital subscriber line access multiplexer (DSLAM). SOLUTION: A multi service access platform includes a chassis, a card slot, an input output port, and a metallic test access bath. The metallic test access bath is selectively combined with the input output port to form a test bath. Various TAP compositions such as supports for a Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) standard and a Telecom Network Voltage (TNV) standard is made possible by using a relay matrix in the card slot. Moreover, a test of a local loop to support different protocols is also made possible using the metallic test access bath, respectively, or simultaneously. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
