PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce disturbance in frequency characteristics of the middle and upper sound ranges in a speaker structured to reduce distortion. SOLUTION: A first space 20 surrounded with a surface of a second edge 17 at the side of a magnetic circuit body 10, a suspension holder 18, an outer circumferential face of a voice coil body 12, the magnetic circuit 10 and a frame 9 is brought into an air-tight state with respect to the atmosphere outside a speaker, at least the first space 20 is functioned as an air suspension, and the voice coil body 12 is supported by utilizing spring features of gases within the first space 20 in addition to a first edge 16 and the second edge 17, so that the Young's moduli of the first edge 16 and the second edge 17 can be set equal and lower. As a result, during sound playback, deformation of a diaphragm 15 connected to the first edge 16 can be reduced, and disturbance in frequency characteristics of the middle and upper sound ranges can be reduced.
